Mélange, a French interpretation of ‘mixture’, is an assortment of Technical, Extracurricular and Sports activities. The vision eliciting the creation of Mélange is to facilitate a national platform to identify & nurture the multifarious talent from around all the eminent colleges in the country. It has succeeded in its expectations and has become one of the most sought-after events.
Mélange aims to contribute towards the well-rounded development of the students, so that along with receiving academic knowledge, they get a chance to learn important life skills such as team spirit, public speaking, presentation, organization amongst several others.
Mélange is a 4-5 day event. During Mélange, a total of around 100+ events are conducted which can be segregated into four categories mentioned earlier.
The organization of these events is managed by EPEC, the Event Planning and Execution Committee of VIT Pune, under whose leadership, separate teams are formed to ensure smooth execution and a stellar event experience for all the events.
Each year, a theme is decided for Mélange, which is the backbone of the organization. It provides a specific structure to the events. The preparations for the event begin almost a month prior to the actual event. An official opening and theme reveal ceremony is conducted, after which the publicity of the events begins, to garner as much participation as possible.
With Carnival Fiesta as the theme for the year, the events will be painted with vibrant colours of joy, glee, and playful competition. This time, Mélange is back from 8-12th December. Mark your calendars, do your registrations, because the carousel of these exhilarating events will be invigorating, right from its revelation till the end, leaving behind an envelope filled with cherished memories.
